This ain’t your average classroom—expect chalkboard philosophy, delinquent humour, and fourth-wall-breaking antics like only Gintama can serve.
The premiere’s going down on Saturday, July 5, 2025, from 3:30 PM to 4:20 PM PDT, over at Panel Room 408AB inside the LA Convention Center.
And it’s not just a basic screening—TV TOKYO is pulling out all the stops.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to bring the world premiere of ‘GINTAMA - Mr. Ginpachi’s Zany Class’ to Anime Expo,” shared Makoto Hijikata, producer at TV TOKYO. “This spin-off brings a brand new flavour to the beloved Gintama universe while keeping its signature humour and heart. We’re buzzing to show it to fans first-hand.”
GINTAMA’s Legacy, Reimagined
Based on the wildly popular school parody chapters from Hideaki Sorachi’s manga, Mr. Ginpachi’s Zany Class is a send-up of every high school trope ever—crammed into the Gintama multiverse.
Imagine your favourite characters stuffed into a classroom, chaos levels cranked up to 200%, and Gintoki in glasses trying to “teach” life lessons no one asked for. Yeah, it’s gonna be unmissable.
How to Join the Madness
Anime Expo 2025 runs from July 3–6 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, and you’ll need a badge to get in.
Head to the official site to sort your tickets before they’re gone.
Whether you’re a diehard Gintama veteran or just curious about what happens when a silver-haired freelancer becomes a teacher, this panel’s one for the books. Or detention.
