EXO Baekhyun’s Kuala Lumpur Concert Tickets Sell Out in Minutes, Fans Blame Scalpers Amid Chaos

Baekhyun's KL Concert Sells Out in Minutes – Scalpers, Queues, and Fan Frustration Ensue
"Reverie" Turns Nightmare for Fans as Baekhyun’s KL Concert Tickets Vanish Instantly

EXO’s Baekhyun has once again proven he’s still got the magic touch – but not everyone’s celebrating. Tickets to the Malaysian leg of his “Reverie” solo concert, scheduled to be held in Kuala Lumpur, were snapped up within minutes of going on sale earlier today. The twist? A huge chunk of fans never even got the chance to click “Buy”.

Two ticketing platforms – Fantopia and BookMyShow – were officially handling the sales. But almost immediately after opening, both sites were flooded.

While one displayed “sold out” just moments in, the other kept users stuck in endless queues, unable to proceed. Frustrated fans took to social media to air their grievances, with many pointing fingers at potential scalpers and dodgy queue-jumping tactics.

"Reverie" Turns Nightmare for Fans as Baekhyun’s KL Concert Tickets Vanish Instantly

“Been queueing since 9.55am, it just froze. Then BOOM – sold out,” one fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
“How did they sell out so fast? No way all these are real fans,” said another.

The main gripe? Scalpers. Netizens are worried about how quickly tickets were snatched up – and not necessarily by fellow Baekhyun fans.

Speculation’s already rising that scalpers may have used automated bots or special queue-bypass links to buy tickets in bulk before regular fans even got past the waiting room. Not long after the sale, listings began popping up on resale sites with inflated prices.

A tweet by user @/eternallyB04 sums up the sentiment:

“Bring back offline ticketing, everything was smooth then.”
A call echoed by many who believe the current online system is too easily exploited.

EXO's Baekhyun Kuala Lumpur Fans in Rage

The issue of scalping isn’t new to the K-pop scene in Malaysia – but with the 2025 concert wave in full swing, it seems worse than ever.

As more acts line up shows in the region, fans are urging organisers to introduce stricter anti-bot and anti-scalping measures. Some suggest verified fan presales or QR-based entry systems. Others just want a fairer queue system that actually works.

At the end of the day, fans who missed out are left disheartened – not because Baekhyun isn’t popular, but because the system designed to support concertgoers might be doing the exact opposite.
