Photos recently leaked online showed both stars on location with what appeared to be other cast and crew members, further fanning flames that the two are teaming up again. Fans were already buzzing about the possible casting based on previous whispers, but now, with visual proof? It’s all but confirmed.

If the rumours pan out, Escape to Your Heart will mark the second onscreen collab between Ryan Ding and Ancy Deng after 2024’s Melody of Golden Age, where the duo’s chemistry didn’t go unnoticed by viewers. While there’s still no official announcement from the production team, word on the street is that Escape to Your Heart will be directed by Deng Ke, known for hits like My Heroic Husband and The Legend of Shen Li. 

The script is reportedly in the hands of Nan Zhen, who previously penned The Prisoner of Beauty and the breakout rom-com The Romance of Tiger and Rose – which might explain the sharp tone and character depth in early concept leaks.
