OFFICIAL: Bambi Zhu Xudan Parts Ways With Jiaxing Media/Jay Walk Studio After 10 Years |
Another chapter closes at Jay Walk Studio (Jiaxing Media) – and this time, it’s actress Zhu Xudan (祝绪丹), best known to many as Bambi Zhu, who’s packing up after ten long years with the Yang Mi-founded agency.
On June 23rd, Bambi posted on Weibo with a calm, heartfelt message:
“一路成长,收获良多。毕业,启程,心怀感恩。感谢嘉行传媒十年栽培,祝未来越来越好。”
In short?
“I’ve grown and gained so much. Graduation, new beginnings, with gratitude in my heart. Thank you to Jiaxing Media for ten years of nurturing. Wishing the best for the future.”
A classy sign-off from someone who’s been with the company since the very start of her career.

Zhu Xudan signed with Jay Walk Studio (嘉行传媒) around 2013, shortly after a brief stint with Le.com in 2012. Her early appearances in dramas like The Ferryman 2 and eventually the smash-hit Eternal Love (三生三世十里桃花) cemented her as a familiar face on screen – often playing intense, emotionally layered second leads that fans either loved to love or loved to hate.
She’s been a steady presence in the Jay Walk roster ever since, sharing agency ties with stars like Dilraba Dilmurat and Vengo Gao.
But things have been shifting behind the scenes...
🧾 What’s Next? A New Venture Might Already Be in Motion
According to Tianyancha, a Chinese business database, Zhu currently has just one active business entity under her name:
-
Shanghai Yixin Culture Communication Partnership (上海祎薪文化传播合伙企业) – set up in July 2023, with Bambi holding a 99% stake and longtime collaborator Zhang Bo managing the rest.
The company’s scope includes TV/film production, event management, and performance brokerage – pretty much everything you’d need to run your own show in the entertainment industry.
Two older studios tied to her name – Shanghai Zhu Xudan Cultural Studio and Hainan Laixue Culture Studio – have both been deregistered.
So yes, this move might be more than just a personal goodbye – it could signal Bambi’s full-on shift into independent career territory.
😬 Jay Walk Losing Stars Left and Right?
Zhu Xudan’s departure comes hot on the heels of long-running rumours that Dilraba Dilmurat, arguably Jay Walk’s biggest current name, is also preparing to leave the agency to set up her own company.
Let’s not forget that Yang Mi, Jay Walk’s original founder and icon, already left the company in 2023 – and fans have been watching the remaining artists closely ever since.
It’s looking more and more like the end of an era.
💬 Netizens React:
Fans were quick to share their support on Weibo:
-
“Ten years… she really grew up there. Wishing Bambi all the best for her solo journey!”
-
“So many JayWalk girls moving on. Dilireba next?”
-
“Hope she finally gets the roles she deserves now!”
🎬 What Now for Bambi Zhu?
With her own set up and a fanbase cheering her on, Zhu Xudan is definitely not disappearing anytime soon. Whether she sticks to acting, expands into producing, or tries something completely new — she’s stepping into this next phase on her own terms.
And we’re kinda here for it.
