Scammed Fan Left in Tears After BABYMONSTER Concert Ticket Gifted by Fellow Malaysian Blink |
When it comes to concerts in Malaysia lately, excitement is sky-high—but so is the number of scams. And unfortunately, one BABYMONSTER fan found herself caught in the middle of it all… only for the story to take an unexpectedly heartwarming turn.
Over the weekend, Twitter user Saffa (@/saffazaidii) shared a disappointing and all-too-relatable post about getting scammed while trying to buy tickets to BABYMONSTER’s KL concert at Axiata Arena.
Like many other K-pop fans, she was trying to secure a seat for the rookie girl group’s highly-anticipated stop in Malaysia. But after paying RM820 to a seller online, she soon discovered it was a total scam—her money was gone, and there was no ticket in sight.

Worse still, the same scammer has apparently done this before, with multiple fans coming forward sharing similar stories. Saffa’s post quickly took off, gaining over 2 million views as fans across the country and beyond resonated with the frustration and heartbreak of falling victim to fake sellers.
But just when things looked bleak, kindness made an unexpected entrance.
Saffa soon updated her followers with a touching DM from fellow fan Balqis (@/qishhed), who offered her own BABYMONSTER ticket—for free.

The reason? Balqis shared that she could no longer attend the show because her mother had been hospitalised and was now in the ICU. She wasn’t asking for money, clout, or anything else. Just one thing: "Please pray for my mum."
Cue the tears. Saffa admitted she broke down crying when she read the message. In her words, “I was already in a low place, then suddenly someone came and lifted me up just like that. She didn’t have to do that—but she did. I’ll never forget it.”

Netizens were equally moved, flooding Balqis’ account with prayers and support for her mother’s recovery. Many praised her for being such a kind soul, especially when she herself must be going through a tough time.

This story is a real reminder of what makes K-pop fandoms so special—not just the music, but the community. One person lost nearly RM900. Another person lost her chance to see her favourite group. But in that space of loss, they found compassion, connection, and the spirit of paying it forward.
We’re sending all our best wishes to Balqis’ mum, and hoping for a smooth and speedy recovery. And to Saffa—enjoy the show, love. You’ve absolutely earned it.
