A fresh chapter in the A Journey to universe has officially been announced—titled A Journey to Glow (燃心记·一念焰)—and it just might restore your faith in happy endings.

Backed by Linmon Pictures and iQIYI, the upcoming historical drama brings a fresh-faced cast and a compelling narrative, while remaining firmly rooted in the same universe as its predecessor. This time, the story pivots from intense political intrigue to an ensemble-led tale of redemption, ambition, and community rebuilding in a war-torn southern town.

From Shadows to Light: A New Heroine Takes the Lead

Esther Yu Shuxin leads the cast as a streetwise female thief who, over the course of the story, undergoes a powerful personal transformation. Known for her sparkling presence and nuanced portrayals, Yu Shuxin returns to her comfort zone in period costume after a string of successful modern dramas.
