Travis Japan Release Music Video for ‘Would You Like One?’ |
Travis Japan have just dished out a steaming bowl of feel-good vibes with the music video premiere of “Would You Like One?”, their latest track that doubles as the theme for Tabekko Animals: THE MOVIE (in cinemas 1 May).
It’s bright, quirky, and a total serotonin boost—just like the snackable biscuits the film’s named after.
The song itself?
A playful bop full of cheeky charm and underdog courage, all inspired by the film’s “keep going, no matter what” spirit.
And adding that extra sprinkle of sparkle—member Genta Matsuda lends his voice to the film’s main character, the brave Lion.
Genta shared, “Just like Lion, our new song is full of warmth, humour, and adorable moments. We can't wait to share it with fans around the world during our World Tour 2025 VIIsual!”
Directed by South Korea’s HQF and SAMSON, the MV takes us straight into a retro ramen shop somewhere in 80s Tokyo—complete with neon signs, nostalgia, and an underdog revival story.
Filmed in early March in a studio and an actual ramen spot, the video brings the members together as they dance, joke around, and help bring the ramen shop back to life.
And yes, keep your eyes peeled: characters from the Tabekko Animals movie pop in here and there, and Travis Japan merch is sneakily hidden throughout.
It’s wholesome, it’s funky, and it’s got that perfect Travis Japan energy we love.
Lyrics meaning (a quick taste):
From the opening “Itadakimasu!” to the final “Would you like one?”, the song is a full-course serving of optimism.
They sing about turning “the biggest pinch ever” into a dance party (“Shake it, shake it, shake it, ah yeah!”) and transforming contradictions into smiles that could change the world.
The message? Don’t stress the hard times—just groove through them together.
Some lyrical gems in English meaning:
-
“Even the biggest crisis? Let’s dance through it.”
-
“With your smile, even contradictions will flip the world around.”
-
“Let’s dig in! Before you know it, it’s a happy ending.”
-
“Gather the super-duper players—it’s time to make dreams happen.”
It’s an anthem of resilience served with sugar, spice, and plenty of sass. Like a late-night ramen run after a bad day, this one leaves you full, happy, and ready to take on anything.
Debuting under STARTO ENTERTAINMENT and Capitol Records in 2022, Travis Japan—Chaka, Umi, Shime, Noel, Shizu, G, and Machu—keep proving that they’re not just J-pop stars, they’re pure magic.
Whether it’s world tours, animated films, or ramen-fuelled dance numbers, they’re making sure no one’s left hungry for joy.
So, would you like one? Yes, we would.
