Food, Fun, and Farewells – Mark, Gulf & Ink Wrap Up Shooting for Sci-Fi-Fantasy “Wanthong”! |
It’s a wrap! After months of hush-hush filming, the cameras have finally stopped rolling on Wanthong – one of Thailand’s most anticipated upcoming films. And yes, it ended with full bellies and even fuller hearts.
Leading stars Mark Prin, Gulf Kanawut, and Ink Waruntorn, along with the entire cast and crew, marked the last day of filming on 10 May with a food fest to remember.
Fans didn’t hold back – sending in wave after wave of food support: everything from savoury dishes to sugary treats. You name it, it was probably there.

The kind of buffet that’d make you want to shoot one more scene just for the snacks.
The stars took to their IG stories to share behind-the-scenes vibes – smiling faces, happy tummies, and heartfelt thanks to the fans who showered them with love and calories.
It's clear the team weren’t just well-fed, they were well-loved too.
But beyond the food trucks and final takes, let’s talk about the film itself – because Wanthong isn’t your typical historical drama.

This bold new take is inspired by the Thai literary classic Khun Chang Khun Phaen, but with a twist: time travel, sci-fi fantasy, and a powerful modern female lead thrown into the chaotic beauty of the ancient world.
Ink Waruntorn plays the woman out of time – a present-day heroine who suddenly finds herself caught in a love triangle between two very different men: the brave and charming Khun Phaen (Mark Prin) and the rich, mysterious (and surprisingly dreamy) Khun Chang (Gulf Kanawut). Yup, in this version, Gulf’s Khun Chang isn’t the traditional baldy – he’s had a serious glow-up.
Expect action, strategy, monsters (yes, monsters!), emotional turmoil, and some serious romantic tension. Oh, and did we mention the aesthetic?
With top-tier production and fresh visuals, this isn’t just another period piece – it’s a full-on reimagining.
Slated for a 2026 release, Wanthong already has fans counting down. And if the final-day buzz is anything to go by, this one's set to hit hard – in the feels, in the fantasy, and in the fandom.
