Wang Anyu Swarmed by Sasaengs as Girl Is Identified as Repeat Offender

Security Breaks Down as Fans Storm Wang Anyu's VIP Route at Airport
Chaos at Changsha Airport as Wang Anyu Swarmed by Sasaengs – Even Security Couldn’t Hold Them Back

It was meant to be a smooth exit after wrapping up a variety show shoot – but for actor Wang Anyu, his quick dash through Changsha’s Huanghua Airport on 1st May turned into a full-blown frenzy, thanks to an aggressive swarm of sasaeng fans that even security couldn’t keep in check.

Around noon, in the midst of the airport’s usual midday madness – wheels clattering, tannoy blurting, people buzzing about – Wang Anyu, dressed in a simple casual outfit with a black mask and cap, tried to keep things low-key as he headed for the VIP lane.

Spoiler alert: it didn’t work.

A gaggle of overly “dedicated” fans (and let’s be honest, probably a few proxy photographers too) had been lurking, and the moment they clocked him, chaos erupted.

Phones and cameras were whipped out like weapons, his name was screamed across the terminal, and the poor guy barely got a step in before being mobbed.

Security rushed in, trying their best to push back the tide. But it was like trying to hold back a stampede with pool noodles – bodies surged forward, ignoring the guards, and the whole situation spiralled.

One particularly large security guard ended up smacking a girl’s phone out of her hands – not once, but several times – the sound of plastic on tile ringing loud even over the din.

Wang Anyu's Airport Departure Turns Messy as Overzealous Fans Cause Scene

That girl? The one in the pink hat?

Eyewitnesses reckon she’s no ordinary fan – apparently she’s a regular face at the airport, spotted earlier the same day barging into restricted zones trying to snap actress Liu Haocun as she departed.

Word is she’s a proxy shooter – those folks who take invasive fan pics and sell them on for profit. Glamorous? Not really.

Needless to say, Wang Anyu’s departure was far from peaceful, and airport operations were a mess.

It's one thing to love a celeb, but turning public spaces into war zones isn’t it.

Not only did the actor’s schedule get disrupted, but the whole drama also caused major headaches for staff and regular passengers just trying to get on with their day.

It’s not the first time sasaeng behaviour has gone too far – and probably not the last – but honestly, at this point, shouldn’t airports be safer for both stars and the rest of us?
