| Sawada Kanon to Graduate from SKE48 This June |
SKE48’s member Sawada Kanon dropped a heartfelt bombshell at tonight’s Team KII stage show – she’s officially graduating from the group at the end of June 2025.
Standing under the familiar lights of the SKE48 Theatre on 8 May, Kanon shared the emotional news with fans during the Theater no Megami performance, marking the beginning of her countdown to graduation.
Her final day with the group will be 30 June 2025.
Sawada Kanon joined SKE48 back in December 2019 at just 15 years old, making her debut as a 10th generation kenkyuusei.
Since then, she’s grown right in front of fans’ eyes – moving to Team E in 2022, and just this April, shifting into Team KII as part of the 2025 Team Shuffle.

In total, she’s been active for 5 years, 4 months, and 17 days – not that anyone’s counting (we totally are).
In her message, Sawada Kanon reflected on her journey with gratitude:
“From joining at 15 to now, these 5 and a half years have been full of rare and precious experiences that not everyone gets to have. To the members, staff, fans, and everyone who supported me – thank you so much!”
She added that although her time is short now, she’s hoping to make more lovely memories with everyone before she bows out for good.
