Rico Sasaki is back—and this time, she’s going full throttle into the dark fantasy zone.
The singer and voice actress has officially announced her latest single, “Majestic Catastrophe,” set to drop on 27 August 2025. If the title alone doesn’t give you chills, here’s more: the track is the opening theme for the upcoming TV anime Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra: World Conquest Starts with the Civilization of Ruin, premiering this July.
The anime dives into a twisted empire-building fantasy where video game legend Takuto Ira finds himself transported to a world that mirrors the simulation game Eternal Nations.
One moment he’s in a hospital bed, the next—bam!—he’s in Idragia, commanding dark forces and building a ruinous civilisation from the ground up. Dark? Yes. Epic? Definitely.
To match that vibe, Sasaki has turned the dial up with a symphonic metal-inspired sound, blending her well-known rock roots with an orchestral punch. “Majestic Catastrophe” doesn’t hold back—it’s dramatic, it’s intense, and her vocals bring that emotional push-pull between despair and defiance.
