| PassCode Roar Back With New Album ‘INSIGNIA’ Out This June – “DESTINEX” Drops First This May (Press Release) |
Right, PassCode Nation – the long wait’s nearly over. After nearly four and a half years off the full album radar, Japan’s genre-blending queens are back with a fresh beast: INSIGNIA.
It officially drops 18 June 2025, but the hype train kicks off early with the digital release of lead track “DESTINEX” on 21 May. It’s not just a banger – it’s a mission statement.

DESTINEX, a proper punchy title that means “beyond a predetermined fate,” isn’t just your average album teaser. It’s also the theme song for the group’s upcoming major arena show “PassCode YOKOHAMA BUNTAI 2025 ‘DESTINEX’,” coming this November.
The group took fan interaction to another level too – before the track was produced, they ran a global singalong project, letting fans belt out the chorus and be part of the final mix. A proper emotional blitz, that.

And now, the full INSIGNIA tracklist is out, and it’s got some serious weight behind it. Old-school heads will be buzzing to see “Freely / FLAVOR OF BLUE” (Emily Arima’s era-defining debut track), live favourites like “GROUNDSWELL” and “Clouds Across The Moon,” and two top-tier anime OPs: “WILLSHINE” from SHY Season 2, and “SKILLAWAKE” from the second season of that reincarnated aristocrat anime (you know the one, with appraisal skills and fantasy flexes).
But the real juice? Five brand new cuts that haven’t been heard anywhere yet: “MIRAGE WALKER,” “VIRIVIRI,” “One Time Only,” “A certain Motor-Heart is not working right!,” and “Echoes.” Titles alone give off serious chaotic energy – and we wouldn't expect any less from PassCode. This isn’t just an album drop – it’s a full-on rebirth. Strap in.
