Ex-Keyakizaka46's Idol Nagahama Neru’s 2nd Photobook Arrives After 8 Years — Nordic Beauty, Personal Reflections, and a Whole Lot of Heart (X/Nagahamaneru2nd) |
It’s been a long time coming, but finally — Nagahama Neru is back with a brand new photobook, her second one, nearly eight years after her debut bestseller "Koko Kara." The yet-to-be-titled collection is set to hit shelves on 15 July (Tuesday) via Kodansha, and it’s shaping up to be something very special.
Now 26, Neru began this deeply personal project with a simple wish:
“I wanted the 25-year-old version of me to be captured by my favourite photographer, in places I absolutely love.”

And so she did — travelling to the sweeping natural wonders of Iceland and the quiet, soul-soothing forests of Finland, alongside renowned photographer Yoko Takahashi. Over the course of a year, the two worked closely to produce what Neru describes as “a book that feels like my own novel” — a photo collection full of emotion, quiet freedom, and the kind of raw beauty that lingers.
In this new volume, Neru is seen diving freely into a Finnish lake, gazing in awe at Iceland’s glaciers, sharing smiles over local food, and connecting warmly with the people and animals she met on her journey. There’s laughter, solitude, wide-open landscapes, and soft hotel moments that feel so close, it’s as if you’re travelling beside her.

And yes — the photobook includes what fans lovingly refer to as her “bubumi body” — that graceful, gentle charm that Neru has always had. Her natural beauty, soft strength, and calm presence are all captured in rich, expressive photos across 160 pages.
This isn’t just another idol photobook — it’s a visual essay, a nostalgic escape, and a quiet celebration of growing into yourself.

Neru’s comment:
“This is a photobook I poured a year into making, with care and intention. Some things about me have changed, some haven’t — and I want readers to feel both. I hope it becomes that one special book someone wants to revisit, again and again.”
