It’s not uncommon for music icons and concert organizers to drop cryptic hints about upcoming tour stops via social media or visual cues — and Mariah Carey may have just joined the list with a subtle, yet intriguing teaser.
The legendary vocalist recently released the official music video for the KAYTRANADA remix of her 2005 hit single, Don’t Forget About Us.
The remix is part of a special project celebrating the 20th anniversary of her acclaimed album, The Emancipation of Mimi — a record many consider to be a turning point in her career.

But while the remix and visual style already excited fans, it was one particular detail in the music video that sent her Southeast Asian fanbase into a frenzy. The video is designed around the theme of Mariah’s 2025 calendar, with various dates highlighted to mark personal milestones, holidays, and tour-related events.
Eagle-eyed viewers quickly spotted a subtle but significant detail: the date Tuesday, October 7th, 2025, was marked with the Malaysian flag.

Even more interestingly, other flags — including those of the Philippines, Thailand, and Japan — also appeared within the same month, all aligning with Mariah’s previously announced tour dates for those countries.
This small but meaningful inclusion has fueled speculation that Malaysia might be added to the Southeast Asian leg of her The Celebration of Mimi tour.
Back in March, Mariah officially unveiled a string of new concert dates, including stops in Manila, Bangkok, and Kobe this coming October, as well as shows in Shanghai (May) and Yokohama (November).

In her announcement, she teased that more dates were still to be revealed — leaving fans hopeful that Malaysia could be among them.
If confirmed, this would mark Mariah Carey’s long-awaited return to Malaysia since her last performance at Plenary Hall in Kuala Lumpur back in 2018 — nearly seven years ago. Given the time that has passed, anticipation among local fans is understandably high..
