Actor Kuroda Daisuke (47) and dancer-actress Sugawara Koharu (33) have officially tied the knot!
The couple shared the happy announcement on 1 May via a heartfelt handwritten message posted on their social media.
In their joint note, they wrote:
“To everyone – We, Kuroda Daisuke and Sugawara Koharu, would like to share that we have gotten married.”
They continued in a deeply personal tone:
“At first, just being together felt like enough. But from now on, we hope to cherish the everyday, and grow into a family that’s kind to the Earth, even if just a little. We’re still learning, still growing, but we’ll do our best.”
They also added a sweet message to their fans and supporters:
“To everyone who has supported us so far – and those who will from here on – we’ll keep striving to deliver the very best entertainment.”

The two first crossed paths in NHK’s 2019 Taiga drama “Idaten”, and later shared the stage again in various musical productions, including some of Sugawara’s own solo performances.

He’s appeared in everything from Sanada Maru and Gegege no Nyoubou to Netflix’s The Queen of Villains and blockbuster flicks like The Bullet Train Disaster.
He even scooped up Best Supporting Actor at the Takasaki Film Festival in 2015.
