Fans of Thailand’s entertainment scene were met with emotional news this week, as actress Kapook Patchara publicly confirmed the end of her long-term relationship with fellow actor Krating Khunnarong. After weeks of online speculation and growing rumours on social media, Kapook finally addressed the issue during an interview on Tuesday, May 6.
In her heartfelt statement, Kapook revealed that she and Krating had officially ended their relationship in December 2024 after being together for eight years. She shared that they had mutually decided to transition from romantic partners to friends.
“Yes, we’re no longer together,” Kapook stated candidly. “It’s been difficult, and I went through a lot of pain. I cried a lot. But thanks to the support of my family, especially my father’s guidance, and my close friends, I’ve come through it stronger.”

The actress added that she wasn’t surprised when fans began speculating about a breakup earlier this year, particularly after the couple made no public appearances or shared any posts on social media during Valentine’s Day and Krating’s birthday. “Those moments meant something, and I understand why people noticed,” she said.
Since the breakup, Kapook has been focusing on personal growth and her professional endeavours. She now runs her own jewellery business and has launched a cosmetics brand—projects she says have given her a new sense of purpose and independence.

Shortly after the interview was published, fans noticed that Kapook had unfollowed Krating on Instagram and deleted all photos of the two together. Interestingly, Krating still follows Kapook, sparking further online discussions.
