Thailand rolled out the red carpet on Wednesday, 14 May, at the glitzy True Icon Hall inside ICONSIAM for the 21st edition of the Kom Chad Luek Awards – a celebration of Thai entertainment’s best and boldest. This annual bash shines a light on top-tier talent from film, drama, music, and even traditional culture, recognising work from the previous year that truly made a mark.
It wasn’t just about the glam though – the judging panel dished out awards based on uniqueness and quality, both on and off the screen. So, who nicked the big wins this year? Let’s dive in.
🎖️ Honourable Legends Who Keep the Industry Iconic
Kicking things off with a heartfelt salute, the Honourable and Valuable of All Time Awards went to two absolute pillars of the Thai scene. Patravadi Meechuton took the spotlight for her impact in films, while Pongpat Wachirabunjong was honoured for his legendary work in drama. Decades in the game and still making waves – proper legends, the both of ’em.
🎵 Music Scene: T-Pop and Beyond
T-Pop was on fire this year and the winners list proves it! DREAMGALS snatched Best New Artist with their groovy tune “Sorry” under YUPP!. BOWKYLION bagged Best Female Solo Artist for her emotional hit “Different Parts”, while the ever-talented Jeff Satur scooped up Best Male Solo Artist for “ซ่อน(ไม่)หา” – and that’s just the beginning of his sweep.
The always fierce 4EVE lit up the stage with “Hot2Hot” and took home the Best T-Pop trophy. Over on the group front, Taitosmith impressed big time with their poetic jam and walked away with Best Group Artist. To top it all off, Jeff Satur's haunting hit “ซ่อน(ไม่)หา” was also crowned Best Song. Triple win? You bet.
🎬 Film Awards – Thai Cinema on Top Form
Thai films truly delivered this year, and the Best Thai Film category was stacked. The gripping drama Lahn Mah won both Best Screenplay (cheers to Thotsapol Tipthingkorn & Pat Bunnithipat) and Best Film overall.
Meanwhile, The Paradise of Thorn took centre stage with Boss Guno grabbing Best Director, and a trio of acting wins: Jeff Satur (Best Actor), Engfa Waraha (Best Actress), and Sita Puapimol (Best Supporting Actress). Rounding it out, Todsapol Maisuk earned Best Supporting Actor for In Youth We Trust. Proper cinematic gold.

📺 TV Drama That Hit Different
The small screen had its moment too. Marital Justice from Channel One 31 was the big telly champ, scooping Best Script, Best Supporting Actor (Phanchanokchon Phansang), Best Actress (Aff Taksaorn), and the coveted Best Drama Series.
Metinee Kingpayome stole scenes in Ticha and nabbed Best Supporting Actress, while Sarun Naraprasertkul took home Best Actor for his role in Good Doctor. Laplae The Hidden Town earned Best Director for Nat Chartchai Ketsnut & Yaowalak Mekkulviroj. Rising stars Pooh Krittin Kitjaruwannakul & Pavel Naret from Pit Babe The Series also made a strong debut and were awarded Best Rising Stars. Ones to watch, for sure.
🎨 Special & Cultural Vibes
Diving into the more artsy bits, One in a Hundred (aired on Channel 3 HD) was named Best Drama, Series, and Creative Arts and Culture Film. This category celebrates works that push storytelling and creativity in new directions. And let’s not forget the glam of Thai tradition – Diana Flipo turned heads and earned the Thai Identity Dressing Award. Fashion meets culture, done right.
💖 Popular Vote Awards – Powered by the Fans
Now for the fan-faves! The audience spoke loud and clear: Noom Kanchai was crowned Popular Host, while Paipai Oreo took the rainbow with the LGBTQ+ Popularity Award. In the music scene, Ryan Kajabandit dominated Luk Thung-Mor Lam and Nunew Chawarin charmed his way to Popular Thai Pop Singer.
4EVE weren’t just critic darlings – they won the Popular T-POP Award too. Peat Wasuthorn claimed Most Popular Male Actor, while Lingling Kong snatched Most Popular Female Actress. The Popular Yuri Couple crown went to the ever-iconic Freen Sarocha & Becky Armstrong, and fan-fave couple Fort Thitiphong & Peat Wasuthorn rounded off the night as Popular Couple – serving us chemistry for days.
