Great news for Zombie Land Saga fans – the long-awaited anime film continuation has finally locked in a release date. Titled Zombie Land Saga: Yumeginga Paradise (which translates to Dream Galactic Paradise), the movie is officially landing in Japanese cinemas on 24 October 2025.

This outrageous mix of idol pop and zombie apocalypse first captured fans back in 2018, with its madcap story about seven dead girls reanimated to form an idol group aimed at saving Saga Prefecture.

Yes, you read that right – idol zombies trying to save a rural Japanese region through music, dance, and utter mayhem.

New Zombie Land Saga Anime Film Premieres 24 October

Produced by Cygames, Avex Pictures, and studio MAPPA, Zombie Land Saga quickly stood out for its weird-but-somehow-heartwarming blend of comedy, horror, and music.

Instead of your usual sparkly idol fare, this show threw in zombie transformations, death-metal concerts, and even some unexpectedly emotional backstories.

After its first season ended in December 2018 and the second in June 2021, fans were left waiting (and hoping) for more. The film was first teased back in 2021, and now at last, it’s full steam ahead.

The trailer for Yumeginga Paradise recently dropped and it’s every bit as bonkers as you’d expect – packed with absurd humour, explosive performances, and that signature Zombie Land Saga energy.

Expect high-octane musical numbers, dramatic past-life revelations, and yes, probably a lot of yelling from everyone's favourite chaotic producer, Kotaro Tatsumi.

Returning characters include Sakura Minamoto, Saki Nikaidou, Junko Konno, and of course, the ever-silent Yamada Tae. And just like the series, the film will carry a R-17+ rating, suggesting there’ll be no shortage of edgy, outrageous content.

While the initial release is scheduled for Japan in October, an international release is expected to follow, though dates have yet to be confirmed.

Whether you're here for the catchy tunes, the undead girl power, or just to see how far MAPPA can push this delightfully insane concept, one thing's for sure – Zombie Land Saga: Yumeginga Paradise is shaping up to be an unmissable ride.
