Chinese actress Zhao Lusi has once again proven that kindness knows no pause. The Guangyuan Bo'ai Animal Protection Centre recently issued a heartfelt letter of gratitude, revealing that Zhao has been actively supporting animal welfare efforts for an entire decade — from 2015 through to 2025.
On 5 April 2025, Zhao Lusi donated 5,000 yuan to the centre, continuing a tradition she has kept for ten years.

What began as material donations such as rice and pet food has evolved into consistent monetary contributions, helping countless stray animals survive and recover.
The centre’s letter highlighted Zhao Lusi's unwavering commitment despite her increasingly busy schedule.

Alongside Zhao Lusi, her close associate Lu Yuanyuan (Xiaoyuanyuan) donated 2,000 yuan on 1 April. Another supporter, Wang Yanran, contributed 800 yuan on 11 April.
These funds were used to purchase large quantities of rice from local suppliers to ensure the animals’ basic needs were met.
The statement mentioned that the centre's team, led by Du Yufeng, had already used the donations to buy food for the dogs, transferring 6,790 yuan to Cangxi County’s grain factory and 20,200 yuan to a local grain oil vendor.

Their transparency included detailed payment records and transfer receipts, which were appended to the letter. The centre assured supporters that each donation is spent meaningfully, ensuring the animals can eat well and feel loved.
Zhao’s kindness, they said, was not limited to grand gestures. Whether it was regular monthly donations or special holiday contributions, she never let her commitments waver — an attitude they deeply respect.
The letter also reflected on how many of the rescued animals had their lives turned around thanks to Zhao and her fellow donors.
Once starving and ill, many now thrive in the shelter’s care thanks to the support of people who never looked away.
Bo'ai Centre expressed that these acts of compassion are more than just financial support — they’re a beacon of hope for both animals and humanity.
“In an era often driven by materialism,” they wrote, “you remind us that every life deserves gentleness.”
They closed with a prayer of gratitude and hope. “May the light of compassion guide your life journey, just as you have guided these stray souls toward love and safety.”
The centre’s message wasn’t just to say thanks — it was a call for more people to join the cause. They believe that with more hearts like Zhao Lusi’s, the world can become a warmer, kinder place for all living beings.
