YouTuber Soon Sun Hospitalised? Chen Doufen’s Post Sparks Concern

Things just got messier in the world of Taiwanese YouTuber Soon Sun. Already tangled up in a sexual harassment controversy, she’s now at the centre of even more internet chaos — and this time, it's medical.

On 16 April, her girlfriend Chen Doufen shocked followers with an Instagram Story that looked like something straight out of a drama series. 

It showed someone — strongly believed to be Soon Sun — lying motionless on a stretcher, parked next to an ambulance in a narrow alleyway. A masked paramedic in red stood nearby, checking the stretcher’s stability.

Doufen didn’t drop names, but her caption said it all: “Ugh… my head hurts.”

Soon after, a separate photo appeared on Threads, showing someone resembling Soon Sun again, this time in what looked like an emergency room. 

Fans started speculating instantly — was it stress? An overdose? Some kind of panic episode?

What made it all even more intense was how Doffin reacted afterwards. 

About an hour later, she went on Threads and posted two blunt updates back-to-back: “Doing this alone is really hard” and “What does a responsible and mature man even look like?”

She wasn’t done yet. 

A few hours later, she uploaded a plain black screen with soft white text that read, “Very overwhelming.” No hashtags, no flair. Just raw emotion.

The couple have been together for more than two years now, and this isn’t the first storm they’ve weathered. 

But fans are clearly wondering — is this the beginning of the end? Apparently not. 

Doufen's made it clear she’s not jumping ship just yet. 

In a heartfelt note later on, she explained, “If society gives up on him, at least I won’t be the one to kick him while he’s down. I choose to stay.”

She didn’t sugarcoat it, though. 

“Men are hunters,” she wrote. 

“If I end up the hunted, so be it. Betrayal is instinct. Loyalty is a choice.”

You can tell she’s feeling the weight of it all. 

She also mentioned that Soon Sun’s got some deep wounds from her upbringing — issues she still hasn’t fully addressed. “She needs to grow up,” Chen Doufen added. 

“I’m just walking with her for now. What happens next… I don’t know. But whatever it is, I’ll still wish her the best.”

This might just be one of those rare moments where the drama hits harder than the videos. For now, fans are left scrolling through IG and Threads, refreshing for updates — and hoping Soon Sun gets the help she clearly needs.
