The digital grapevine lit up on 21 April after a netizen shared the wedding card on their Moments feed, revealing the beachy date and location.
But hold on — this isn’t exactly brand-new news if you’ve been paying attention.
Back on Valentine’s Day, Zhao Lei went public with the happy update, posting a sweet snap of him and his longtime girlfriend holding up their marriage certificate.

Zhao Lei, born on 1 January 1999 in Chongqing, first came into the spotlight as a member of X Nine, a nine-member idol group formed through the Zhejiang TV show “X-Fire” in 2016.
He later shot to broader fame through Tencent’s survival show “Produce Camp 2019” (a.k.a. “Chuang”), landing 10th place and joining the group R1SE.
Aside from group work, Zhao’s lent his vocals to tracks like “Breathe,” “Forgetful Song,” and “The Wind Blows Softly” — known for his sweet tone and soft boy-next-door visuals that made him a fan fave.
