MNL48, the Manila-based sister group of Japan's AKB48, is set to launch auditions for its 5th generation on May 5th, 2025.
This isn't just any audition—it's a call for fresh, diverse talent from both the Philippines and beyond, with MNL48 aiming to bring together a truly international group.
As the group seeks to evolve into a global sensation, they are encouraging women aged 18 and above who are passionate about singing, dancing, or performing to apply.
But it’s not just about talent—MNL48 wants members who thrive in team settings and have the enthusiasm to learn and grow within the group.
While the eligibility criteria focus on passion and commitment, MNL48 is particularly keen to hear from applicants with multicultural backgrounds.
If you have at least one-quarter heritage from outside the Philippines, have lived abroad for over a year, or speak a language other than English or Tagalog, they want to hear from you!
Don’t worry if you don’t meet these preferred qualifications though—the team believes diversity in all forms is important, and everyone is welcome.
