As she stepped up to collect her award, Michelle gave a heartfelt speech, thanking her family and her team for sticking by her through thick and thin.
With visible emotion, she said, "Today's encouragement will drive me to continue pushing myself. I am the actress, Michelle Wai."
And if that wasn't enough to melt hearts, her husband — a doctor she married not long ago — was spotted tearing up in the crowd.

Safe to say it was a night full of love, pride and happy tears.
The Last Dance had more to celebrate, too, scooping up a total of five awards, including Best Supporting Actor for Chu Pak-hong, Best Screenplay, Best Original Film Music, and Best Original Film Song.
While it had a brilliant showing, the evening's biggest winner was Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In, which absolutely dominated with nine major awards including Best Film, Best Director for Soi Cheang, and Best Cinematography.
As for Michelle Wai, this win has been a long time coming.
She kicked off her entertainment career back in 2007, first making a name for herself in modelling before transitioning into acting.
Over the years, she's built an impressive résumé across film and television, often praised for her relatable, down-to-earth characters.
From early roles in youth dramas to more serious, critically acclaimed performances, Michelle Wai has quietly but surely worked her way up the ranks.
Now, with a Best Actress trophy in her hands, she's firmly secured her place among Hong Kong cinema’s brightest leading ladies.
And by the looks of it, this is just the beginning of a whole new era for Michelle Wai.
