| Liu Xueyi Returns in 'Love Never Fails' as Hu Yixuan Replaces Yuan Bingyan After Four Years |
Liu Xueyi is still the male lead, but original heroine Yuan Bingyan has been swapped out for Hu Yixuan.
Back in 2021, Liu Xueyi and Yuan Bingyan wrapped filming, with plenty of fans excited to see them reunite after Love and Redemption — where Liu, the poor second lead, didn’t get the girl.
Love Never Fails was supposed to be his second chance at romance glory. Instead, the drama got shelved and left to collect dust.
Fast forward to now: promos have suddenly popped back up, showing Liu Xueyi not with Yuan Bingyan, but with Hu Yixuan instead.
In a bold move, the show's official Weibo account even scrubbed all traces of Yuan Bingyan — every trailer, poster, and photo deleted like she was never part of it.
Word is, Love Never Fails will premiere on Mango TV on 28 April 2025, though there's still no official confirmation.
That said, a shiny new poster drop hints that it's definitely on the way.

What’s Behind the Cast Shake-Up?
The drama faced major trouble when Yuan Bingyan’s company got tangled up in a tax scandal back in 2022.
Since then, most of her projects either got frozen or quietly replaced.
Rather than scrap the whole show, the production team decided to reshoot some scenes and use AI face-swapping tech to stitch Hu Yixuan into the footage.
The idea sounds clever on paper, but AI face-swaps can be hit or miss, especially when the actress has tons of screen time like here.

The Plot?
Set in a world where demons and gods rarely mix, Love Never Fails follows Hong Ning (Hu Yixuan), a camellia demon, who dares to confess her love to the celestial god Jinxiu (Liu Xueyi) at the grand Flower Festival.
Unsurprisingly, he turns her down, citing the whole “immortal and demon” divide.
Heartbroken but determined, Hong Ning starts her own journey toward immortality.
When she finally makes it to heaven, she finds Jinxiu has married someone else.
Devastated, she gives up the immortal path altogether and falls into endless cycles of reincarnation.
Driven by guilt and lingering feelings, Jinxiu defies fate itself to help her be reborn — but across lifetimes, misunderstandings, hidden secrets, and cruel destiny keep pulling them apart.
Only when the flowers bloom once more will they face their ultimate test.
After everything this drama has been through, from scandals to AI wizardry, here’s hoping it finally gets its moment to shine.
