Liu Shishi Fans Demand iQIYI Answers Over 'Love in Pavilion' Drama Delay

Fans of Liu Shishi are stepping up and speaking out, calling on iQIYI and the production team behind Fox Spirit Matchmaker: Huaishui Bamboo Pavilion (also known as Love in Pavilion) to come clean about what's really happening with the drama’s schedule.

They’re not asking for much — just clarity and basic respect. Either give a confirmed air date or at least drop a proper preview announcement.

But so far, neither the platform nor the cast has officially confirmed anything. And fans are losing patience.

The tension kicked off when iQIYI quietly listed 13 April as the drama’s premiere date on its site. That alone sent fans into a frenzy of excitement.

But just as everyone was gearing up for the big day, the schedule got shifted.

Quietly. Suddenly. No explanation. No heads-up.

Now the show is said to be airing on just two dates — 17 and 24 April. That’s it.

Understandably, fans are feeling let down. Especially after months of waiting and hyping up the drama in good faith.

The biggest sting?

The cast, including Liu Shishi, had reportedly cleared their schedules to support the launch. Their efforts, along with six months of filming and the money fans poured into the project, feel like they’re being casually dismissed.

Fans are asking the hard questions now.

Would anyone be okay with their work being delayed without notice? How does this impact other drama productions, cast schedules, and even variety shows that rely on timely releases?

Some are even calling for compensation — not in money, but visibility.

If the drama keeps getting postponed or dropped, then fixed screen placements and pop-up ads should at least make up for it, they argue.

One of the biggest frustrations though?

There’s still no trailer.

It’s been over a year since filming wrapped, and all fans have seen is a random clip from a different drama.

No plot teasers. No character highlights. Nothing to feed the hype.

To put it simply: fans are tired of being in the dark.

They're demanding transparency, respect for the team behind the show, and at the very least, a proper trailer to finally reward their loyalty.
