Kagura Leisa Joins Yamikumo as Black of Punishment

The ever-mysterious J-Pop idol group yamikumo (闇雲) just dropped a dark surprise—Kagura Leisa (神楽麗紗) is stepping into the shadows as the group’s latest member. Her colour? Black

Not just any black, though—this is “God’s Punishment Black”. Dramatic? Definitely. And perfectly fitting for yamikumo’s deliciously twisted aesthetic.

Leisa’s arrival was announced with a striking tagline: “The divine punishment of black, I’ll show you its might.”

She’s set to debut with the group on April 29, 2025, at Shibuya WOMB, a venue as chaotic as the group's energy.

Since their formation in May 2023, yamikumo has built a unique blend of gothic idol pop with an edge—dark, theatrical, and a bit unhinged in the best way possible.

Their debut stage was back in June 2023 at Shibuya CRAWL, and they’ve been spiralling ever since—with new members, sudden exits, and pure unpredictable idol madness.

Leisa now becomes the ninth active member, joining a colourful (and slightly cursed) cast that includes:

  • Kaguya YoruBlue Star Blue

  • Nadeshiko RinBlack-Hearted White

  • Kuukai MamiHungry Yellow

  • Yuragu NakiSolar Eclipse Orange

  • Abyss KururuAbyss Green

  • Tenshi DamonRebellious Pink

  • Amahina MikotoIndigo Tears Blue

  • Airin BiranGrace Red

And now, the divine darkness: Kagura Leisa – God's Punishment Black.

Leisa’s intro tweet went full yamikumo style with chains, gothic flair, and a dramatic declaration of power. The visual? Monochrome majesty with a stare that says, “I’ll destroy you, but politely.”

Her addition also comes just days after Kurono Akuma, the previous bearer of jet black, graduated on April 9, 2025

Whether Leisa is her successor in name or spirit is unclear—but fans are already hyped to see what kind of chaos she brings to the stage.

Former members of yamikumo have come and gone like shooting stars (or curses): from the likes of Koikuchi Shoyu’s blink-and-you’ll-miss-it debut, to Kamui Riko’s cancelled stage, to the fan-favourite Shiromi Sena, who bowed out last October. But this group doesn’t slow down—they evolve.

As yamikumo gears up for Leisa’s debut live, the question isn’t whether she’ll stand out. It’s how hard she’ll hit. One thing’s for sure—April 29 is going to be divine… and maybe a little bit cursed.
