J-Pop Group #2i2 Set to Disband in December 2025

J-Pop Group #2i2 Set to Disband in December 2025

Bit of a sad one for J-Pop fans—#2i2, the four-member idol group from 01familia, have just announced they’ll be calling it a day in December 2025. That’ll mark exactly five years since their debut, and yep, it’s hitting fans right in the feels.

Formed back in December 2020, #2i2 (pronounced ni-ni) always stood out from the crowd with their edgy android concept.

Even though their first single SAYONARA didn’t drop until February 12, 2021, they were quick to carve out a niche for themselves in the alt-idol scene.

What made them even more special?

The line-up never changed. Yui Oku, Tomi, Anri Morishima, and Nozomi Amaha have been in this together from day one, and they’ll finish it together too. A proper tight-knit squad.

Their official statement, which dropped today, was full of gratitude and warmth.

They apologised for the sudden news, but thanked everyone for five wild years of support—from live gigs and SNS chats to random everyday moments that became unforgettable.

“Every single show and event from now on will be our last as #2i2,” they wrote, announcing a disbandment live in December 2025 to wrap things up properly.

The members also left a heartfelt message to fans, saying they all made this decision together. They admitted it still doesn’t feel real yet—but they’re promising to make the next eight months count in a way only #2i2 can.

And in true idol fashion, they’ve told fans: “We’re sad too, but don’t cry, alright?” Honestly, easier said than done.

After the group ends, each member plans to keep going solo in their own direction, chasing dreams with just as much passion. The agency has asked fans to keep supporting the girls even after the curtain falls.

In the meantime, they’ve got a bunch of events lined up, including these highlights:

  • 13 April#HASHTAG EVENT Vol.1 at Shinagawa Intercity Hall, Tokyo

  • 25 AprilLive Series [version up.27] at Zouk Tokyo

  • 16 MayVersion up.28: Minna no Okusan Festival 2025 at Daikanyama UNIT

So yeah, this is your heads-up—there are only a handful of chances left to see #2i2 live. Whether you’ve been there since day one or just got into them recently, now’s the time to show your love.

Let’s give these android queens the send-off they deserve.
