A fresh J-Pop idol unit is ready to bubble up from the underground scene: meet CIDER GEM, a seven-member group co-produced by Japanese agencies Plus and VAZ, officially making their live debut on 7 June 2025 at the iconic Akihabara P.A.R.M.S.
With a concept that blends “jewels” and “classic idol” aesthetics, CIDER GEM is set to sparkle hard from the get-go.
The name’s got layers too – “CIDER” representing the fizzy rush of youth, and “GEM” symbolising the individual shine each member brings to the group.

Unlike your typical “diamond in the rough” narrative, these girls are already gleaming.
This isn’t a thrown-together project either. It’s a proper industry-backed launch:

Music is being handled by Tomoyuki Tajiri (yep, the one behind bangers for Sakurazaka46 and =LOVE),

Choreography comes courtesy of Hina Miyanouchi, an ex-idol and member of Tenshimese໒3,

And the wardrobe’s in the trusted hands of Islands, known for dressing up some of Japan’s biggest idol names.
Now let’s meet the CIDER GEM line-up:
1. Tsukise Kaede (Yellow / Topaz / Osaka)

The self-proclaimed ray of sunshine. Known for her knack for impressions and sewing, plus she can crack an egg with one hand. She's bubbly, bold, and wants to bring laughs and pride to all her fans.
2. Seta Mitsuki (Milky Orange / Mandarin Garnet / Kanagawa)

A K-POP dance lover with a soft vibe. With piano skills and a Korean language certificate under her belt, Mitsuki’s poised for smooth, elegant performances and emotionally-charged delivery.
3. Nomura Runa (White / Moonstone / Tokyo)

At 18, Runa brings heart, resilience, and charm. After struggling through school life, she’s ready to shine with all her might and hopes to bring courage and smiles through her story and sparkly presence.
4. Sakairi Rune (Mint Green / Emerald / Ibaraki)

An idol rookie but already oozing sincerity. She’s all about taking long walks, soaking in idol songs, and spreading positivity. Rune’s ready to give it her all – singing, dancing, and SNS included.
5. Matsuda Ichigo (Pink / Rose Quartz / Osaka)

Once a child actor, Ichigo always dreamed of becoming a “pink idol.” She’s finally living it – and already dreaming of performing at the Budokan. A big heart and an even bigger goal.
6. Hanasaki Yuri (Light Blue / Aquamarine / Kanagawa)

At just 15, she’s the baby of the group – but with serious energy. A dance-lover since childhood, Yuri’s warm and cuddly charm is sure to win over fans in no time.
7. Nanase Cocoa (Red / Ruby / Saitama)

With solid dance skills and a passion for music, Cocoa wants to share “the best views” with her fans – and vows to never let her supporters down. Big confidence, and big idol energy.
With such a colourful line-up, it’s clear CIDER GEM isn’t playing it safe. They’re pushing for top-tier sparkle with a down-to-earth edge, combining fresh faces with battle-tested creative support behind the scenes.
Akihabara better brace itself – when 7 June rolls around, the pop fizz is going to be real.
