Zhao Yue Bids Farewell to Siba Media After a Decade: “Here’s to Brighter Tomorrows” (Weibo) |
Well, it’s the end of an era – and the beginning of a whole new one. On 29 April, singer and SNH48 Honorary Graduate Zhao Yue aka Akira Zhao officially announced during her birthday livestream that she’s parted ways with Siba Media, the agency that’s been by her side for the past decade.
With a calm but heartfelt tone, she said, “The last journey coming to an end means a new one’s about to start.”
And if that wasn’t enough to tug at your heartstrings, she later posted on social media: “Thank you for ten years of companionship. I hope we both have a better tomorrow.”

Siba Media also chimed in with their response, showing there's no bad blood: “It’s been an honour walking side by side. Chase your dreams to the fullest.” A classy farewell if there ever was one.
Zhao Yue, also known for her work with the popular sub-unit 7SENSES and as a former member of Bonbon Girls 303, has had quite the journey.
She joined SNH48 back in 2013 as a trainee, climbed her way up to Team NII, dazzled everyone on Produce Camp 2020 (where she came in 2nd, no less!), joined Bonbon Girls, and eventually returned to SNH48’s Team NII before graduating honourably in 2022.
It’s been a solid 10 years of performances, growth, and non-stop hustle.
Now, she’s stepping into a new chapter, and if her cheeky “粤来粤好” (a pun on her name meaning “getting better and better”) is anything to go by, we’ve got every reason to believe she’s just getting started.
So here’s to Zhao Yue – thanks for the memories, and we can’t wait to see what magic you cook up next.
