Barbie Hsu’s Niece Elly Posts Emotional Message After Missing Final Goodbye

Elly Hsu, the eldest daughter of Taiwanese celeb Xiao S (Dee Hsu), has finally spoken out after two months of quiet grief following the sudden passing of her beloved aunt, Barbie Hsu (Big S).

Barbie Hsu, a much-loved actress and style icon, tragically died this February in Japan due to flu complications that developed into pneumonia.

The news came as a complete shock, leaving fans and family alike reeling.

What made it even harder for 17-year-old Elly Hsu was the fact that she couldn’t be there to say goodbye.

She was thousands of miles away, studying in the US, and missed the chance to see her aunt one last time.

Now, after two months of silence, Elly has returned to Instagram with a deeply personal post.

She shared two photos: one of herself smiling gently in a cropped top and jeans, eyes closed as if soaking in a peaceful moment, and another of the starry night sky.

The caption?

Just 13 words, but they hit right in the feels:
“The brightest one always makes me look again.”

Elly Pays Tribute to Her Aunt with Emotional Post

Fans immediately felt the emotion behind it – a subtle but powerful nod to her aunt, now watching over her from above.

The comments flooded in, with messages like, “Your aunt loved you so much,” “She’s always with you,” and “Love never really leaves us.”

And truly, Elly and Big S shared a special bond.

Back when Elly was little, a story from the popular TV show “KangXi Lai Le” showed how much her aunt adored her.

Once, Elly picked a blue dessert while guests were visiting, and someone mentioned it was “Tiffany blue.”

Big S promised then and there to explain the magic of that colour properly when Elly was older.

Keeping her word, Barbie Hsu gifted Elly a real Tiffany necklace when she started primary school – a shimmering little token of love and thoughtfulness.

It wasn’t just a luxury trinket – it was a piece of their shared memories and her aunt’s promise fulfilled.

Now, that necklace and the stars in the sky carry a little more meaning. Elly Hsu’s tribute was quiet, beautiful, and full of emotion – a reminder that love lingers, even after goodbye.
