Fan Throws Object at Boun Noppanut Guntachai During Taipei Event, Causing Stir |
What was meant to be a fun-filled fan meeting took a bit of an awkward turn for Thai actor Boun Noppanut Guntachai at the ‘GMMTV Fanday 20’ event held in Taipei, China on Saturday, 19 April.
The event, which took place at Westar Taipei, is part of GMMTV’s beloved fan tour series, where actors and actresses meet fans through games, performances, and up-close moments.
This particular edition saw the attendance of Boun Noppanut, Prem Warut, Junior Panachai, and Mark Jiruntanin—fan favourites all around.
However, a bit of a misstep occurred the day before the main event, during soundcheck on Friday (18 April).
After finishing his check, Boun Noppanut was caught by surprise as he was heading down an escalator—when a pink object was suddenly thrown in his direction by a fan.
A short amateur video by Warut Guntachai that’s now doing the rounds on social media shows Boun visibly startled by the flying item.

Prem Warut, who was just a step behind, immediately turned towards him with a concerned look.

Concern for Boun Noppanut After Fan Tosses Item at Taipei Event |
Security quickly stepped up their guard following the incident, becoming visibly more alert in ensuring the cast’s safety.
While it was later revealed that the pink object was a fan gift (not something dangerous), the way it was delivered—literally launched—wasn’t exactly the most respectful approach.
Fans were quick to comment online, some defending the gesture as simply enthusiastic, while others reminded fellow supporters to maintain boundaries and avoid behaviour that could make their favourite stars uncomfortable.
It’s worth remembering that while fan gifts are always appreciated, it’s the way they’re given that makes all the difference.
Respect and kindness go a long way—especially when your idol is just trying to make it down an escalator without needing to dodge projectiles.
Here’s hoping the rest of GMMTV Fanday went off without a hitch for Boun and the rest of the cast.
