After over a decade of heartfelt harmonies and emotional melodies, Bitter & Sweet have announced they’ll officially wrap up their group activities on 31 May 2025, following the conclusion of their national tour, LIVE QUEST 2025 Bouken no Sho.
The duo—Moemi Hasegawa and Asahi Tasaki—have been active since 2013, bringing a mix of pop, soul, and acoustic vibes that resonated with fans who stuck with them through thick and thin.
But as all good things must come to an end, so does this beloved unit.
Asahi Tasaki shared that before she turns 30, she wanted to step out of her comfort zone and face new challenges head-on.
After several honest conversations between the two and their team, it was decided that Asahi will leave UP-FRONT CREATE by the end of June and pursue a new path outside the agency.
On the other hand, Moemi Hasegawa will stay with the agency and kickstart a new chapter as a solo singer, aiming to keep the music alive in her own way.
In an official statement, the girls thanked their supporters, staff, and each other—highlighting the deep respect and appreciation they’ve built over the years.
Asahi reflected on her 13-year journey with the agency, calling it a treasure trove of unforgettable memories and people.
“To everyone who supported Bitter & Sweet, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart,” she wrote.
While she’s stepping away from the agency, she hinted that her love for singing remains strong, and she’s hopeful to reunite with fans in the future.
Moemi also spoke with gratitude, expressing her nervousness about starting solo but saying she’s excited to continue doing what she loves most—singing.
“It’s a brand new shape for me, but I’m ready to give it my all,” she said.
The last hurrah for Bitter & Sweet will be during their nationwide tour, which kicks off on 19 April 2025, culminating in a final performance on 31 May 2025.
The tour is playfully titled LIVE QUEST 2025 Bouken no Sho, capturing the adventurous spirit that’s defined their musical journey.
The girls promise to go all out until the end—no regrets, just music, joy, and gratitude.
So if you’ve ever been touched by their songs or supported them along the way, now’s the time to show love one last time. This might be the end of Bitter & Sweet, but it’s definitely not the end of their story.
