TEAM SHACHI Bids Farewell After 13 Years
J-Pop group TEAM SHACHI is calling it a day after 13 years and 8 months of music, energy, and unforgettable moments.
The group has officially announced their disbandment, with their final Tokyo show set for 21st September and a last performance in Nagoya this December 2025.
Starting in 2012 as Team Syachihoko, the group kicked off their journey with a street live at Nagoya Castle under the catchphrase, “A human’s life is 50 years, an idol’s is 5. There’s a Syachihoko in Owari Nagoya.”
They later evolved into TEAM SHACHI in 2018, embracing the slogan “Super Tough Strong Energy Positive Exciting Soul from Nagoya.”
The members—Akimoto Honoka, Sakura Nao, Oguro Yuzuki, and Sakamoto Haruna—expressed deep gratitude to their fans, the Tafumin, for supporting them through every joy, tear, and stage.
They acknowledged that their journey wouldn’t have been possible without the unwavering support from fans and staff.
The decision to disband came after extensive discussions about the group's future and each member’s individual paths.
Despite the impending farewell, TEAM SHACHI is determined to go out with a bang, promising to deliver “bright, energetic, seriously playful, and intensely passionate” performances right until the last second.
Their HAPPY LAST YEAR 2025 will see them actively engaging with fans, with events kicking off on 1st March at TEAM SHACHI Twenties Talk Trip vol.23.
The group is ready to leave behind a legacy that will be remembered long after their final curtain call.
