Tao Xinran & He Jianze Quietly Divorced for Their Child

Chinese actress Tao Xinran, 40, and her husband, actor He Jianze, 42, have officially confirmed their divorce after keeping it private for their child's sake.

The couple, known for their years in the entertainment industry, had reportedly been separated for some time before making it public.

Tao, best known for her role as An Lingrong in The Legend of Zhen Huan (2011), shared an emotional message online:

"Yes, we've been apart for a while. Out of protection for our child, I didn't share this sooner. There's no dramatic story—just you, me, and the regret of drifting apart."

He Jianze also addressed their split, stating that as parents, they wanted to shield their child from unnecessary attention.

"Although we decided to part ways, we understand that adult matters are for us to bear. We didn't want our choice to affect our child, so we chose not to make it public."

Despite their personal struggles, the couple remains devoted to their daughter, who was born in 2016.

They married in 2015, and while their marriage has ended, both continue to support each other’s careers.

He Jianze even praised Tao’s dedication to her latest film Within (Z), which she spent a decade planning, urging the media to focus on meaningful projects rather than personal matters.

Tao's portrayal of the manipulative Consort Li in The Legend of Zhen Huan was widely hated by viewers, proving her strong acting skills.

While her character faced betrayal and heartbreak in the drama, real life has taken a different turn.

Fans have sent messages of support, hoping both stars find happiness in their new paths.
