SPIA’s Exclusive Talk Before Silent Disbandment

SPIA’s Last Interview with Nugupromoter: Dreams, Doubts & A Silent Farewell

Before vanishing from the industry, SPIA sat down for an exclusive interview with nugupromoter in July 2024.

At the time, they were hopeful about a comeback, but their company later went silent, and the group quietly disbanded.

The Future That Never Came

When asked about their comeback, SPIA revealed plans to reorganise members and expand overseas, aiming for Japan, Southeast Asia, and the US.

They had big dreams, including a world tour and collaborations with top artists like BTS’s Jung Kook.

Despite their disbandment, their team spirit was strong.

Their group name, SPIA, was chosen through a vote, symbolising “a pretty fairy flying with wings spread among trees.”

From Trainees to Idols

Each member had their own journey into Campus Entertainment.

Some were introduced by acquaintances, while others auditioned after seeing the company’s content.

Training periods varied, with Nahee training for three years and Sera for four, while the others prepared for just a year before debuting.

What Could Have Been

SPIA loved bright concepts, saying they suited their cheerful personalities.

They enjoyed shooting music videos the most but admitted that maintaining their physical condition was the toughest part of preparing for comebacks.

Their dream destinations included Japan and the Philippines, and in their free time, they wished they could spend longer hours at karaoke.

A Silent Goodbye

Sadly, this hopeful interview never led to their return. Shortly after, their company stopped responding, and SPIA quietly faded away.
