Ski Into Love: Lin Yi's Sweet-Talking Leaves Esther Yu Blushing

The hit drama Ski Into Love, starring Esther Yu and Lin Yi, is taking the internet by storm!

It’s currently the second most popular Chinese drama, just behind The Best Thing with Zhang Linghe.

Meanwhile, on Netflix Taiwan, it holds the third spot, trailing The First Frost starring Bai Jingting and Zhang Ruonan.

But it’s not just the on-screen romance that’s got fans talking—Lin Yi’s flirty words during a recent livestream had Esther Yu blushing!

From Romance to Avalanche!

In the latest episodes, Lin Yi’s character, Shan Chong, takes Esther Yu’s Wei Zhi to the snowy mountains for a heartfelt confession.

But things take a dramatic turn when an avalanche strikes!

In a tense moment, Shan Chong shields Wei Zhi by clinging to a tree, only to get buried under the snow himself.

Thankfully, she manages to dig him out, adding to the heart-stopping romance.

The drama has now crossed 100 million viewers, proving its massive appeal despite some fans feeling the plot is losing steam.

According to Upmedia, ratings have dipped, but the sizzling chemistry between Lin Yi and Esther Yu keeps audiences hooked.

Lin Yi’s Tears & Cheesy One-Liners!

Off-screen, Esther Yu recently spilled some hilarious behind-the-scenes tea.

Turns out, Lin Yi struggled with the freezing temperatures and even cried—twice! Being the caring co-star she is, Esther Yu wiped away his tears.

At a promotional event, the duo danced to Midnight Cha Cha, and Lin Yi playfully teased Esther Yu by reenacting a hugging scene from the drama.

He even threw in a cheeky line:
"I ate your candy, you’re not mad, right?"
Cue the audience erupting in cheers!

“For You, It’s Free!”

Things got even funnier during a recent livestream.

Esther Yu jokingly brought up the sky-high ski lesson fees Lin Yi charges in the drama—6,000 yuan per session (about $829.50!).

Lin Yi immediately responded with, "But for you, it's free! I’ve been teaching you for free for the past 2-3 years."

His words referenced their past collaboration on Super Fun Skiing Conference in 2022, but Esther Yu was having none of it!

Grabbing a stuffed rabbit, she playfully smacked a Lin Yi-shaped billboard in front of the screen, exclaiming, "What do you mean, Lin Yi!" in mock embarrassment.
