J-Pop fans, get ready—Akatsuki is making a comeback! The idol group, formerly known as Antithese, has officially announced their redebut lineup.
Leading the charge is original member Niina Mako (Blue), alongside Watanabe Kiri (Red), Ikeda Rino (Pink), Setsuna Yura (White), and the newest recruit, Shimu Aiku (Violet).
Their highly anticipated redebut is set for April 25, 2025.
Akatsuki (暁) first formed in June 2022 as Antithese (アンチテーゼ), making their debut on July 17, 2022, at SHIBUYA WOMB.
Their fierce concept and slogan, "The time for rebellion has come" (反逆の時は満ちた), quickly gained them a dedicated following known as the Children of the Moon (月ノ子).
However, after a strong run, Antithese ended their activities in February 2025.
Rather than disbanding completely, the group took a bold step forward, rebranding as Akatsuki in March 2025.
The revamped lineup marks a new era for the group, with Mako now at the helm as producer.
While the name has changed, their spirit of rebellion and rock-infused J-Pop remains stronger than ever.
With the countdown to their April 25 redebut officially on, fans can’t wait to see what Akatsuki has in store!
