Idol Fans Banned from Acrobatic Moves at Concerts

Up Up Girls (Kari) Warn Fans: No Gymnastics at Gigs

Up Up Girls (Kakko Kari) Warn Fans: No Gymnastics at Gigs – Netizens Confused!

The idol group Up Up Girls (Kakko Kari) has issued an unusual warning: No more "kumitaisou" (group gymnastics) at their concerts!

And the internet is baffled.

The announcement, posted on their official X (formerly Twitter), states that dangerous activities like lifting or acrobatic formations during their performances are now strictly prohibited.

The group's agency, YU-M Entertainment, explained that such actions could cause accidents and disturb other fans

If spotted, these stunts could even lead to show interruptions or cancellations.

But what’s throwing people off is… what even is kumitaisou in this context? Fans took to social media, asking:

  • "Wait, fans were doing gymnastics at concerts?"
  • "How does kumitaisou even happen at a live show?"
  • "Are they forming human pyramids in the crowd??"

It turns out, Up Up Girls (Kari) incorporate choreographed acrobatics into their performances, and some enthusiastic fans have been trying to mimic them on the floor—which, understandably, isn’t the safest idea in a packed venue.

Group member Yurika Furuya (25) clarified, saying:
"We train hard for these moves with rehearsals and workouts. We want everyone to enjoy the show safely, so please cooperate!"

So, if you’re heading to an Up Up Girls (Kari) gig, maybe stick to cheering and dancing—no gymnastics required!
