Big shake-up in the world of J-Pop! timelesz, the group formerly known as Sexy Zone, just pulled a major plot twist—bringing in five fresh faces and relaunching as an eight-member squad.
Yep, you heard that right.
Takuto Teranishi, Yoshitaka Hara, Masao Hashimoto, Shuzo Inomata, and Daiki Shinozuka have officially joined forces with OG members Shori Sato, Fuma Kikuchi, and So Matsushima.
timelesz originally kicked off as Sexy Zone back in 2011, boasting five members:
Kento Nakajima, Fuma Kikuchi, Shori Sato, So Matsushima, and Marius Yo.
But after Marius bowed out in 2022 and Kento made his grand exit in March 2024, the group slimmed down to just three.
Cue the Netflix drama!
Since last September, the streaming giant has been airing ‘timelesz project -AUDITION-’, giving fans a front-row seat to the intense selection process for the group’s new members.
And in the final episode on 15 February, boom!
The five lucky winners were revealed, officially turning timelesz into an eight-piece act.
This massive revamp has fans buzzing.
Some are hyped for a fresh start, while others are side-eyeing the move, wondering if timelesz is losing its original spark.
From Sexy Zone’s golden days to a brand-new chapter, is this a bold rebirth or a risky gamble?
Either way, the new timelesz is here, and they’re ready to take over.
