M-League Scandal: Itō Yūri Quits After Okada’s Words!

Looks like M-League just lost a key player—but not a mahjong pro. Yūri Itō, the official reporter for ABEMA’s M-League, has stepped down, and it’s all linked to a messy controversy involving Okada Sayaka’s comments.

On Instagram Stories, Itō Yuri dropped the bombshell, saying she had to resign due to health reasons. But let’s be real—the timing is suspicious.

Itō Yūri Resigns! Okada Sayaka’s Words Spark Scandal!

Just last month, Okada Sayaka, a talent from KADOKAWA Sakura Knights, blurted out some not-so-nice words about Itō during a YouTube livestream.

During an interview segment, Okada Sayaka was caught muttering, “Can’t she speak more clearly?”

Then, as if that wasn’t enough, she reportedly added, “She doesn’t even understand mahjong.” Ouch.

The internet exploded, branding Sayaka Okada’s remarks as a full-on verbal attack.

Within days, both she and her team had to issue public apologies.

Sayaka Okada even bowed her head on-air, admitting, “Everything is my fault.”

But was it too little, too late?

Fast forward to now—Itō is officially out.

She expressed gratitude for the support but made it clear that she won’t be back anytime soon.

“I’m thankful for those who wanted me to return, but I’ve decided to step down,” she wrote.

Fans are divided.

Some say Yuri Itō’s exit proves that workplace bullying is alive and well, while others argue that Okada Sayaka was just being blunt.

Either way, M-League just lost a respected voice, and the drama isn’t dying down anytime soon.

Would you say Itō was pushed out, or was this purely a health-related decision? Let the debates begin!
