On 14 February, Kamenashi Kazuya took to his paid membership blog, pouring his heart out in a raw and emotional message.
He didn’t hold back, admitting, “I am truly sorry for how things have turned out. I sincerely apologise.”
His words carried the weight of years of dedication and the pain of letting go.
With his voice reportedly shaking, he continued, “I will continue to live with pride as a member of KAT-TUN, until the very end.”
Even as he apologised for the heartbreak, he promised to bring more joy in the future.
But let’s be real—fans aren’t just sad, they’re furious.
Many are questioning whether this was inevitable or if management mishandled things.
Why now? Was there a way to save the group?
The announcement from STARTO ENTERTAINMENT on 12 February confirmed KAT-TUN will officially disband on 31 March 2025.
While Kamenashi is set to leave the company, Yuichi Nakamaru and Tatsuya Ueda will be staying.
