J-Pop group cosmosy signs with Sony Korea for debut

Japanese girl group cosmosy has made an unexpected move by signing with Sony Music Entertainment Korea (SMEK), a subsidiary of Sony Music US, instead of a Japanese label.

This decision signals a strong push for global success.

The group, consisting of a’mei, de_hana, himesha, and kamion, is fully Japanese, making their contract with a Korean label quite unusual.

SMEK’s CEO, Joo Youngchan, praised cosmosy’s unique musical style and potential, saying they aim to bring their charm to listeners worldwide.

cosmosy’s agency DSNL also expressed confidence in the collaboration, stating they’ll actively push projects to establish the group on a global scale.

Their debut single, "zigy=zigy", drops on 7th at 6 PM via streaming platforms worldwide.
