STU48’s Kanau Ide has officially announced her graduation during a live stream on SHOWROOM today, leaving fans with mixed emotions.
The exact date of her final activities and last performance will be revealed later.
Graduation is a natural part of the 48 Group world, as members either move on to new challenges or step away from the industry entirely.
Ide Kanau, who has been with STU48 since April 2023, admitted that she had been contemplating this decision for months.
“I’ve thought about it for a long time, and it was a really tough choice,” she shared with fans.
She expressed gratitude for their unwavering support and promised to make the most of her remaining time in the group.

"I'm graduating from STU48.
These past two years have been intense—I've experienced so much during my time in the group.
I started as just an ordinary girl with nothing, but STU48 turned me into an idol. I learned so much, and I'm really glad this was my first step into the entertainment world.
There were frustrating moments, tough times, and plenty of sadness. But more than that, I loved being on stage, singing, dancing, and talking to you all. That’s what kept me going.
The regular live shows with the 2.5th and 3rd generation were some of the best times. Every single one was so fulfilling and fun—it reminded me how much I truly love performing. I wish I could do it all again!
As time went on, I started to feel that maybe what I truly wanted to do was something different. I didn’t want to continue half-heartedly, and I didn’t want any regrets. So, as I turn 20, I’ve decided to graduate and fully commit to what I love.
I'm so grateful for the chance to be part of STU48. To all the fans who supported and loved me for who I am, to my family, relatives, staff, and members who always had my back—I’ll keep cherishing every moment until my final day.
If we meet again someday, I’d love to chase my dreams together with you all once more. It would mean the world if you supported me until the end. Thank you!"
Fans are now speculating whether she will receive a dedicated graduation concert.
Such events are usually reserved for senior members, but many hope she’ll get a proper send-off.
As part of STU48’s 3rd Generation and the MiKER! unit, Kanau Ide made her mark in the group. Now, as she prepares to leave, her supporters are eager to see what the future holds for her.
