Alright, folks, here’s one straight out of the blue! Gravure idol and actress Kiki Amano has officially dropped the bombshell—she’s stepping away from the entertainment industry, aka retired.
The 20-year-old star made the announcement on Instagram on 11 February, breaking hearts everywhere with her plans to retire by March 2025.
Now, Amano Kiki’s been quite the powerhouse since winning Miss Weekly Shonen Magazine and the Game Idol award in 2021’s Miss Magazine.
Not content with just slaying the gravure scene, she branched out into acting, lighting up stages and movie sets.
But here’s the kicker: balancing university and stardom?
Not as easy as it looks.
In her heartfelt Insta post, Kiki Amano revealed how university life has sparked a new passion for academics.
And, well, that’s led to the bittersweet decision to leave the limelight behind.
Apparently, she’s been loving her courses so much that she’s ready to go full nerd mode and give education her all.
And here’s the sad bit for fans: her beloved daily “Ohakiki” posts on X are done and dusted, effective immediately.
Plus, all her socials will vanish once her Platinum Production contract ends in March.
But there’s a silver lining!
She’s throwing one last cheki event in March, giving fans a final chance to say goodbye.
