Atsuko Maeda is back on Fuji TV! The former AKB48 ace is set to join the upcoming spring drama Jinji no Hitomi, starring Genta Matsuda from Travis Japan. This marks her first regular role in a Fuji TV drama in eight years, and fans are buzzing!
The series, airing Tuesdays at 9 PM from April 2025, dives into the chaos of a stationery manufacturing company’s HR department. Maeda plays Naoki Mano, a sharp and logical HR employee who’s fed up with the company’s outdated, power-hungry structure. She’s on a mission to bring fairness to the workplace—if only the new guy wasn’t completely clueless!
Enter Ren Hitomi, played by Matsuda. Despite being hyped as an overseas HR expert, he’s actually a pure-hearted goofball with zero experience. Mano is exasperated by his antics, but could his fresh perspective shake things up for the better?
With its mix of comedy and workplace drama, Jinji no Hitomi promises to be an entertaining ride. Can Mano and Hitomi reshape the company culture, or will corporate chaos reign supreme? Stay tuned!
