Former TVB star Bernice Liu has been awarded the Chevalier of the Ordre du Mérite Agricole by the French government for her efforts in promoting French wine and gastronomy.
The 46-year-old winemaker received the honour in Paris, presented by French Minister of Agriculture Annie Genevard.
Bernice attended the ceremony in a chic black dress with white embroidery, later expressing her gratitude on social media.
The Consulate General of France in Hong Kong also shared congratulatory messages, recognising Bernice’s achievements.
Originally crowned Miss Chinese International in 2001, Bernice shifted from a thriving acting career in Hong Kong, where she starred in hit TVB dramas like Virtues of Harmony, to becoming an award-winning winemaker.
Her brand, Bellavizio Wines, has received international acclaim.
Despite stepping away from showbiz in 2011, Bernice Liu pursued an EMBA at INSEAD and channelled her focus into the wine industry, cementing her reputation as a respected wine critic and entrepreneur.
