Confirmed: Live-Action 'Baban Baban Ban Vampire' Release Postponed
The much-anticipated live-action film Baban Baban Ban Vampire, originally slated for release on 14 February 2025, has been postponed.
The decision comes "in view of various circumstances," as stated in an official announcement by the production committee on 14 January.
A new release date will be shared on the movie's website and official social media channels once confirmed.
The delay coincides with actor Yoshizawa Ryo, who stars in the film, facing an investigation linked to a trespassing scandal.
The committee expressed regret for the delay and apologised to fans eagerly awaiting the release.
"We deeply appreciate your understanding and patience during this time," the statement reads.
Pre-purchased movie tickets will remain valid for the new release date.
Fans are advised to retain their tickets safely.
Despite this setback, the production team hopes viewers will continue to support the project and promises further updates soon.
The film, produced by Shochiku Co., has drawn significant attention due to its unique storyline and Ryo Yoshizawa’s involvement. Fans have taken to social media to express both disappointment and hope for a resolution to the current issues.
