HANA Debut: Chanmina's New Girl Group Members Unveiled

The highly anticipated final of the BMSG x Chanmina audition programme, "No No Girls", took place in Yokohama on January 11, where the new girl group was officially revealed.

After a fierce competition, seven talented members were selected to form J-Pop group "HANA". The members are CHIKA, NAOKO, JISOO, YURI, MOMOKA, KOHARU, and MAHINA.

The group will make their major debut in Spring 2025, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter in the JPop scene.

The audition programme, which began with Chanmina’s powerful message, "Height, weight, and age don't matter. Show us your voice and your life", drew over 7,000 applicants from across Japan, South Korea, and the United States.

The final event was so popular that it reached a staggering 50,000 applicants, leading to a special one-time online stream.

Chanmina expressed her thoughts on the group’s name, "HANA", which she chose because "they are all like flowers that have bloomed after much effort".

She further stated, "I will create an everlasting flower with them."

HANA’s pre-debut performance of the song "Drop" during the final was met with great excitement, and it was announced that the group will debut under Sony Music Labels.

In March, they will hold pre-debut events in Osaka and Saitama.

Fans can also look forward to exclusive early ticket reservations for these events via HANA’s official fan club and BMSG’s B-Town community until January 23 at 23:59.

The group’s emotional statements during the event resonated with fans, as each member shared how the audition had changed their lives, turning their dreams into reality.

With their debut fast approaching, HANA is set to become a symbol of perseverance and hope for many aspiring artists.
