Japanese singer Ayami Muto has shared joyous personal news with her fans, revealing that she is married, her husband is a non-celebrity man last year and is now expecting a child.
The announcement came via her social media accounts, where she expressed gratitude for her supporters while requesting privacy regarding her partner and pregnancy details.
Muto, who celebrated her 10th anniversary as a solo artist in December with the release of her album Memorial HOTEL and a commemorative live performance, also disclosed plans to take a temporary break from her music career.
Her final performance before the hiatus, Ayami Mutou Special Live AYAMI CLUB, will take place on March 29 at Tokyo’s Cotton Club, featuring a full band.
The hiatus will begin on April 29, coinciding with the release of the Blu-ray for her 10th-anniversary live performance and her birthday.
Muto Ayami assured fans that she plans to return to the stage once her personal situation stabilises.
"Though I’m still inexperienced, I will continue to work hard so that I can give back to everyone through my singing," she said, thanking fans for their ongoing support.
