BNK48 announced that Maira Kuyama was suspended for 2 months from 12 August 2019 because of the scandal. Maira will be absent at BNK48 Sport Festival and HS event on Sept. 21. Maira will still take part in the HS event on August 11.
Previously, BNK48 fans were aware of the Maira Kuyama dating scandal with her boyfriend. It was also proven from both social media, fans asked that Maira be fired from the group but after investigation, BNK Office only sentenced her to a suspension of activity from the group.
